Does anyone have a formula for calculating the engine rpm when the
transmission gear and axle gear ratio are known?
thanks

Best Top makes a bikini, cargo cover and rear window combo for the Tracker/
Sidekick which make it look like a pickup with a tiny bed but is a nice
combo for easy top down/top up when I don’t carry rear passengers.
Apparently the mounting hardware has changed since my ’93 since
only ’95s and beyond are currently supported. The difference seems to
be how the side windows are supported. On the ’93 there is a little hinged
support that the Top’s side velcro pockets attach to and the support snaps into
a clip on the body. A small snap loop sort of prevents it from being pulled
out from the outside. The ’95s seem to have some sort of fixed bar, but
I haven’t gotten a close enough look to tell how it all works. Any
description on how the new supports work is appreciated especially if there
is some way to make an attachment that could make it work for my ’93.
Thanks,
Steve

Lighten up, OK?
and please STOP using SO many CAPITALS, as ITS hard to READ your MESSAGE.
Besides, HUMMER sounds like something Hugh Grant got arrested for last week
or so in LA. Buy the Suburban.

Hi,
I like to know what everyone is using for motor oil for the
power stroke engine. Brand and viscosity.
On my diesels that I prev. owned, I have been using
Mobil Delvac 1300 15W-40.
Does any manufacter make a lighter weight oil for the winter?
for diesels?

My name is Theresa Leonard and my fiancee and I are looking into
purchasing a new Discovery. We have a few questions we would like to ask
of the Net.
1) What price can we expect to pay in the Columbus Ohio U.S. area for a
new one. We want most of the options available, but not all. The usual
amenities are sufficient. btw. 5-speed only. If possible I would like
the dealer cost so I can use it as a negotiating tool.
2) Will they deal on the sticker price. i.e., are Discovery’s in so much
demand that you can’t negotiate the price like Honda’s were several years ago?
3) Are there any quality/performance/reliability issues that I should
know up front? This vehicle will be used primarily as a main vehicle and
to pull a max of two horses in a trailer. In case you didn’t know
Columbus Ohio is about the flattest spot on the earth so I won’t be
climbing too many mountains! However we do get a fair amount of snow
during the winters. Other than that the vehicle won’t be strained at all.
advTHANKSance for the help!

Hi,
The lease on my car expires in November and I’ve been
looking at Sport Utility vehicles. I went to one dealership
that I knew had carried Amigos. The salesguy there told me
that Amigos are not being sold in the U.S. anymore because
they tended to tip over. Is this true? I’ve never heard
of an Amigo flipping.
I called the 800 number for Isuzu and the person there
told me that the reason was because the public has started
demanding 4-door SUV’s and that Isuzu decided to stop
shipping the 2-door models. I mentioned the comment the
dealership guy made to me but was told that flipping was
*not* the reason.
Hmm…who’s telling me the truth?

I have a JERICO Cap on my ’94 F250. When I purchased the cap, I had the
the four top corners of the roof reenforced to accomodate the small
gutter mounts commonly found with Thule and Yakama racks.
I would like to purchase a set of roof racks. Does anyone have/know of a
good source (preferably discount mail order) which I could order a set.
